Healthy Hair Starts with a Healthy Scalp


Healthy hair begins with a healthy follicle. A healthy follicle begins with a healthy scalp. The key to a healthy scalp is a regimen that consists of the following:

1. eating well-balanced meals
2. a regular routine of exercise
3. adequate sleep
4. performing a skin sensitivity test before using a new product
5. limiting sun exposure, which may cause scalp sunburn
6. using antidandruff shampoo if you have dandruff
7. consulting a dermatologist if you have eczema or seborrhea
8. massaging the scalp while washing your hair - no fingernails, use knuckles

  1. Nice post! In addition to the aformentioned, I find that weekly ACV rinses (Herbal Tea/ACV/Honey/Tea Tree EO) and scalp spritzs (Water/Aloe Vera/Tea Tree EO) help keep my scalp healthy.
